Winston-Salem Police were called to investigate a shooting Tuesday night after receiving a ShotSpotter Alert.

Police said in a news release that a man, 30, was shot in his hand in the 2300 block of Ivy Avenue, just before 8 p.m.

Police said there were several spent shell casings in front of a house, bullet holes in the house, and in a truck parked in the front yard.

The victim arrived at the hospital with a gunshot wound to his hand, police said.

The victim told police he was smoking outside when someone drove by and shot at him.

The victim refused to share any suspect information, police said.
